Arnold Schwarzenegger The " No Action "  Star

Governor Schwarzenegger who's never really been a cop, but
played one in the movies. And has never really been a hero,
though he has depicted them on film. Has put the ca-bash on an
a wards ceremony that gives the Metal of valor to police
Officers who are truly cop's and are real hero's to us that live
here in California , namely the California Highway patrol. Today
East Kern News has learned that do to budget restraints there
will be no Awards ceremony this year.

How mush money does it cost to thank someone for saving
Lives?

East Kern News
spoke with Tom Marshal from (the office of
public affairs in Sacramento) today about the heroic efforts of
C.H.P. Officers involved in an incident at the Mojave Air and
Space Port in Mojave California last year on July 26 2007. Mr.
Marshal stated that dew to budget restraints there would be no
Ceremony this year.

There were 8 Officers involved in this incident and all of them
according to a memorandum from Lieutenant CommanderD.E
Leach of the Highway patrol inland division all 8 Officers
performed an act of heroism at great risk to their own personal
safety and  lives, to rescue four critically injured victims of a
large nitrous oxide explosion at the Air and Space Port on July
26 of last year.

Lieutenant Commander Leach also stated in this Memorandum
that as a result of the extraordinary and heroic efforts of these
Officers three of the victims were successfully rescued and
saved from certain death.

MR. Marshal who stated to us in a letter dated March 25 2008
that there were time lines not met and questions unanswered
that led to these Officers not receiving these metal last year.
MR. Marshal also stated in his letter that these questions have
been answered and that he hoped to have a decision in a few
weeks from that date. The Officers are still waiting their
answer.

Budget restraints or not a hero is a hero and they should be
rewarded for their acts of bravery.  A phone call to the Officers
letting them know their due this award or not would not be out
of line here. Courtesy trumps silence.

It would seem to us here at East Kern News that given all we
have read and what was told to us that these Officers deserve
an answer. The state may not have money to put together a
ceremony but it is unconscionable for these hero's to set and
wait on an answer that merely takes a phone call or letter to
resolve.

The Officers for the record are Sergeants Jeffrey Baird and
Mark McCormack Officers  Jack Borne, Jesse Borne, Stephan
Hunsaker, Byron Jobe, Jeffrey Nousch, and Roberta Record.

We the people of California honor our hero's. One way we
Honor the High Way Patrol  is through the Metal Of Valor. This
metal of Valor is ours, the peoples metal to give away! We hope
the offices that handle these things for us , do it properly with
out prejudice or concern for the number of men and woman we
have to honor every year. We plan to investigate this until we do
get answers for these officers.

We the people of California want to know who our Hero's are
and we have the right to thank them properly.
